I Could Easily Forgive His Pride, If He Had Not Mortified Mine - Jane Austen, Pride & Prejudice

Pride And Prejudice is a movie based on the book by Jane Austen with the same name. It is one of my absolute favorite movies and I love Keira Knightleys performance in the movie. And the fact that I can find Mr. Darcy fascinating and intriguing even though I do not find him all that attractive is something most people cannot do. Excellent job Matthew Macfadyen! The chemistry between the two is magical and to find true love, your soulmate in a time of predetermined weddings based on the mans fortune must have been a rare thing. It is a beautiful thing that love can conquer pride and prejudice. (see what I did there?)

The story is set in the early 19th-century England. The book was released in 1813 and the Keira Knightley version of the movie was released in 2005. It is the kind of movie that stays with you forever. The story is memorable and infinite. Which is the exact reason why I bought the book while I was in England without ever have reading it before. What better place to buy the book than the country where the author lived? I haven’t finished it yet but it is just as interesting as the movie, if not more.

The book is already one of my favorites, which is a title hard to be earned if not about vampires and other supernatural beings. Although, there are a few exceptions. But let’s not get into that right now for I will be ranting about it for hours 😉

The movie has with no doubt justified the right to be called equally as brilliant as the book and anyone who hasn’t seen the movie or read the book should drop by the nearest bookstore/library or film store and get it as soon as possible. I believe that is all I have to say at the moment 😉
